Science Club: Lost... In the Woods!

Open to students from Faribault's Jefferson, Lincoln, & Roosevelt elementaries and Cannon River STEM School in grades 1-5. 
Cost: $15 (Scholarships available, see below).
Pre-registration is required by Friday, May 5th, 2017. Limit 15 students per school.

Join the fun at River Bend Nature Center Science Club! Science Club is the early-release day science program for Faribault elementary school students at Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt Elementary and Cannon River STEM Schools. This program is for 1st through 5th graders. Participation is limited to the first 15 students to register from each school.

This month's topic is Lost... In the Woods!: Join us at River Bend to learn how to survive if you ever got lost in the woods! We will be building shelters, making fire with flint and steel, and learning how to purify water and find some common edible plants. We hope you join us for a whole fun afternoon of being lost in the woods!

Scholarship discounts are available to students qualifying for the free/reduced price lunch program. Those eligible for the scholarship will receive a 50% discount on the cost of the program.

Students will be picked up from school by bus and transported to River Bend Nature Center after school releases for the day. After Science Club, students will be bused back to their school where they need to be picked up by their parent/guardian. Times students leave from and arrive back at school vary by school, see the list below for specific times.
