Science Club: Superheroes of Nature

Open to students from Faribault's Jefferson, Lincoln, & Roosevelt elementaries in grades 1-5. 
Cost: $15 (Scholarships available, see below).
Pre-registration is required by Friday, September 30th, 2016. Limit 20 students per school.

Join the fun at River Bend Nature Center Science Club! Science Club is the early-release day science program for Faribault elementary school students at Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. This program is for 1st through 5th graders. Participation is limited to the first 20 students to register from each school.

This month's topic is Superheroes of Nature: Join us at River Bend to talk about the superheroes you can find right in nature! Come enjoy activities that help you learn about how plants and animals have superpowers just like your favorite superhero, learn the science behind some of those powers, and eat cool mad scientist snacks!

Scholarship discounts are available to students qualifying for the free/reduced price lunch program. Those eligible for the scholarship will receive a 50% discount on the cost of the program.

Students will be picked up from school by bus and transported to River Bend Nature Center after school releases for the day. After Science Club, students will be bused back to their school where they need to be picked up by their parent/guardian. Times students leave from and arrive back at school vary by school, see registration for specific times.
