Mushrooms 101

Open to adults. Cost: $10 ($5 for River Bend members).
Pre-registration is required by July 29th.

John Lamprecht, president of the Minnesota Mycological Society, and his wife Claudette will present "Mushrooms 101" beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2 at River Bend Nature Center's Interpretive Center. Their talk will include what mushrooms are and how to identify them, where mushrooms get their nutrition, and many mushroom facts about which "most folks have no clue." Following their one-hour presentation will be a 30 to 45-minute walk to find and identify mushrooms at River Bend. Dress for the weather and for hiking on and off trail.
