Topic: Water Resources 101 - Farmers Protecting Soil Health and Water Quality

The Cannon River Watershed Partnership's Agriculture Program Assistant, Tonya Kjerland, will talk about the water cycle, effects of storm water runoff, and how recent work by farmers in our area is benefiting soil health, local streams, and downstream neighbors. Tonya will also lead a discussion about audience recollections of historic water conservation practices (on farms and in homes). We will come up with a list of ways we can individually and collectively contribute to healthier streams and lakes within our personal spheres of influence.

Join us once a month at OWLS for a catered meal and program on a natural history topic.
