Topic: Stormwater Basics and Eco-Friendly Means to Manage It

During a one-inch rain storm event, 27,154 gallons of water fall across one acre of land. The City of Faribault is about 10,000 acres, much of which cannot absorb water because it is covered by streets, sidewalks and buildings. When it rains, where does all that water go? Join Leah Weston, a MN GreenCorps Member, for a passionate talk on green infrastructure designed to manage stormwater in an eco-friendly way. We’ll also discuss inexpensive ways to “green” your property and capture residential runoff.

Join us once a month at OWLS for a catered meal and program on a natural history topic.
